The creator of this alcoholic beverage is Maria Skala (in marriage - Branka), who intended it primarily as a remedy for gastric diseases. For more than a century, Fernet-Branca has been produced by Fratelli Branca Distillerie S.r.l. by a family recipe that is kept secret. It is known that Fernet-Branca insists on 27 different herbs collected on 5 continents. Balsam brand Fernet-Branca is used as a digestive as in pure form, and in cocktails and with ice. In addition to Fernet Branca by Fratelli Branca Distillerie S.r.l. a sweeter liqueur with the taste of Brancamenta mint is produced, as well as a number of other alcoholic drinks based on natural ingredients.
