The northeastern stairway of Chogha Zanbil, Iran
Chogha Zanbil, or Dur Untash, in the Khuzestan province of Iran is one of the few existent ziggurats oute Mesopotamia. Similar to the southeastern stairway, this entrance provided access to the first terrace. The main building materials in Chogha Zanbil were mud bricks and occasionally baked bricks.
