Lantern at the Kodaiji Temple, Kyoto, Japan
View from the Kaizando Hall of Kodai-ji in winter. Kodaiji is a magnificent zen buddhist temple situated in Higashiyama in Kyoto, Japan. Its gardens are magnificent. It was established in 1606 in memory of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of Japan`s greatest historical figures, by his wife Nene who is also enshrined at the temple.
