Macchia mediterranea
The `macchia` is one of the main Mediterranean ecosystems. It is a shrub vegetal formation typically constituted by sclerophyll species, that is with persistent little broad, coriaceous and glossy leaves, with an average height varying from 50 cm to 4 meters: often they are formations deriving from the evergreen Mediterranean forest.
