LOCOROTONDO - Puglia ââ¬â Italy
This municipality has had many names before the current one. Initially it was called Casale San Giorgio in honor of the patron saint, then Casale Rotondo, later Luogorotondo and only in 1834 it was called Locorotondo. The toponym recalls the characteristic shape of the historic center, a group of small white houses arranged on concentric rings.
