Hyacinthoides non-scripta Close up
Hyacinthoides non-scripta, synonym: Scilla non-scripta is a plant from the asparagus family Asparagaceae. The plant was already described by Carl Linnaeus, who gave it the species name non-scripta because in this plant, unlike the hyacinths, no white signs could be distinguished in the flower tops. Linnaeus informed him about the hyacinths Hyacinthus. Later the plant was classified with the genus Scilla. Now the plant is classified with the genus Hyacinthoides.
