2500 Steiner Street, San Francisco, the Susie`s Building.
Perched quite prominently atop a hill and right on the corner of 2500 Steiner at Jackson Streets is what`s affectionately known as `Susie`s Building`, for one of the residents, cofounder of Esprit clothing, Susie Tompkins Buell. Built in 1927, there were room under it for the Chinese who would do odd jobs for the residents. Then came the market crash of 1929 came and put a complete end to that. Still, even today, 2500 Steiner Street is one of the most expensive addresses in San Francisco.
