(Allogalathea elegans) This unusual species lives on the arms of feather stars. The first pair of legs is about twice as long as the carapace, strong, and clawed. The colors may varies, depending on that of the feather stars host, but the pattern remain similar. In most cases conspicuous light-colored, more or less broad, longitudinal bands run along the back of carapace and down the chelipeds. The tips of the claws and legs are white.
