La Ametlla village entrance Sant Genis Church
Coming on the way down from the mountains the entrance to the northeastern Catalonian village of La Ametlla del Valles gives a view to the local parish church of Saint Genis. It was the founding nucleus of the present municipality in the tenth century. Of Romanesque origin, it was extended in baroque style in the seventeenth century.
