The licancabur volcano 5.916 seen from San Pedro de Atacama in Chile. The Atacama desert is one of the driest places in the world. The Licancabur volcano lies at the foot of the Bolivian highlands, where it is unusual to be lower than 11.000 ft. above sea level. It is a very special place. The little tree in the front is trying to survive the arid desert climate.
