Similar to the Cyberport, the Hong Kong Science Park also uses a low-density programme similar to a university campus to study high-tech and applied technology including biomedical technology, information and communication technology, electronics, green technology and materials and precision engineering. The base was operated by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation on May 7, 2001.
