Moscow Manege Central Exhibition Hall Manege is located next to the Kremlin. The building was built in 1817 by the design of Augustine Betancourt in honor of the fifth anniversary of the victory in the Patriotic War of 1812. In 1824-1825, Osip Beauvais designed the facades of the Manege in the Empire style. The Manege was originally called Exertsirgauz and was intended for drill troops. Since 1831, exhibitions and folk festivals began to be held in the building, and even later - concerts and balls. After the revolution in 1917, the Bolsheviks staged a barracks in the Manezh, and then a garage of government vehicles. In 1957, the institution was granted the status of the Central Exhibition Hall and regularly held exhibitions and other public events.
