Wooden fortress City Elabuga. Tatarstan.
Yelabuga is a picturesque town in Tatarstan, located on the hilly banks of the Kama and Toima rivers. Its history dates back to the deep Middle Ages, when in 1007 the Volga Bulgars founded a settlement here, having built a stone fortress, one of the towers of which has survived to this day.
