Horseshoe Bend, Colorado River, Arizona
Known as Horseshoe Bend, the Colorado River winds into a horseshoe, carving a path into the sandy red southwest desert of northern Arizona, near Page, aiding the erosion of the canyon walls, considered by some to be part of the Grand Canyon, although not part of the national park.
