The Spain Park is one of the green areas that give life to the Condesa neighborhood. Neighbors tend to run, take the pets for a walk, sit down to have an ice cream, watch the sunsets or read the newspaper. The park was the entrance to the vanished Racetrack of the Countess, since there was the Hacienda de la Condesa, a prosperous property of the Countess of Miravalle where herds were raised, corn and maguey were planted. It was designed by the architect José Luis Cuevas and inaugurated on September 21, 1921. On that occasion, an ahuehuete was planted by the municipal president Herminio Pérez Abreu. Surroundings to this place have flourished restaurants and cafes, enriching the sense of community of the colony. It is usual to see children filling up in the park, enjoying running and playing all over the place.
