Largo Dom Dinis - Mosteiro de Odivelas

Largo D. Dinis, terreiro of the Monastery of São Dinis and São Bernardo, stands at the entrance to the convent building. To support the terrace there is a slope that defines one of the street fronts of access to the house located at a lower level. The wide is added to one of the streets that constitute the spindle, that is, one of the main axes of development of the city. Sensibly at the center of the Largo is the statue of Queen Santa Isabel (1951), by the sculptor Álvaro Brée. The garden forms an integral part of the D. Dinis square, next to the São Dinis and São Bernardo Monastery dates from the Century. XIX. Its original traces were altered throughout this period through the implantation, in the 50's of the 20th century, of elements such as Chafariz (1878) and Coreto (for the exhibition, in a public place, of the Odivelense Musical Society Band, 1913), which were in the center of Largo D. Dinis and the various rehabilitation interventions it was subjected to.
