The Perseus and Andromeda fountain and the ruins of Witley Court with storm clouds and sunshine. The Perseus and Andromeda fountain is said to be one of the finest and largest in Europe Originally the site of medieval house built in Norman times, this house was rebuilt on a grander scale in the early 1700`s. It was enlarged between 1793 - 1833 with further major transformations between 1851 - 60. Unfortunately a massive fire destroyed most of the house in 1937 and it has never been occupied since. Restoration has been ongoing since 1972.
