The Johannes Brahms Monument in Resselpark, Vienna
Located in Karlsplatz`s Ressel Park is sculptor Rudolf Weyr`s 1908 white marble monument to Johannes Brahms and his legacy in classical music. It`s a simple but evocative statue: Brahms, elevated, sits in contemplation as the Muse of Music plays her lyre at the base of the structure. It can take hours to truly see the Muse`s figure.
