Pictured are two gendarmes seated on their motorcycles at Mount Alban Fort. It is located at the peak of Mount Alban between Nice and the bay of Villefranche. It was built by the architect Domenico Ponsello between 1557 and 1560. It is a rare example of military architecture from the mid 16th century, in good condition.
