Tonghu Grassland is located in the hinterland of the Tengger Desert at the junction of Inner Mongolia and Ningxia.
It is 200 kilometers away from Bayanhaote in Azuoqi, 26 kilometers away from Zhongwei City in Ningxia, and looks at Gansu Hexi Corridor in the west. It is the fortress of the ancient Silk Road.
