The Nuvolau Group is a mountain group in the Dolomites. It is located in the municipality of Cortina d`Ampezzo and partly in the municipality of San Vito di Cadore, between the Falzarego pass in the north-west and the Giau pass in the south-east, straddling the Val Cordevole and Val Boite. It culminates with the Averau - also called Nuvolau Alto - at 2,647 m. It is among the least extensive of the groups in the Dolomites, but it is characterized by bold and spiky rock formations, among which the bold Cinque Torri di Averau stand out.
