Le Geant du Mane in carnac

The Neolithic men of the Atlantic façade have impressed all their successors with the megaliths they erected, leaving their mark on impressive landscapes. These signs show a clear «domestication of the lands», and also make us speculate that they could have had extensive astronomical knowledge. Near the Kerlescan alignments less than 10 minutes away on foot we find the gigantic menhir of Le Manio, this is the tallest surviving menhir in the Morhiban area, the highest in French Brittany can still be seen from the North – a large number of them – that is why it has been called ‘The giant of Le Manio’.
