Stakna Monastery is an old Buddhist shrine nestled along the bank of the Indus River. It is perched atop a hill, which is shaped like a tiger`s nose Stakna. It is amongst the several religious estates that were gifted to Chosje Jamyang Palkar – the renowned scholar and saint.
