The monastery of the Dormition of the blessed virgin Mary in the Kaluga Saint Tikhon`s Desert in Central Russia. There are a large number of churches, temples, cathedrals and monasteries of the Russian Orthodox Church in Russia. They are distinguished by traditional architecture that originated at the dawn of the Christian faith in God in Byzantium. Golden domes and ornamental patterns are the difference between architectural solutions in Russia. This monastery was founded in the second half of the XV century by the monk Tikhon Medynsky, a Kaluga miracle worker.
