Glimpse of the side and the upper part of the bell tower of the church of the hermits, with the pale moon in the blue sky, seen among the bare branches of a plane tree in Padua. Padua is a city in the Veneto region, known for Giotto`s frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel, from 1303-05, and for the large 13th century Basilica of Sant`Antonio. The basilica, characterized by Byzantine-style domes and valuable works of art, houses the tomb of the saint to whom it is named. The University of Padua was founded in 1222.
