Vicuna Chaccu in the Highlands of Peru
A vicuna chaccu taking place in the Highlands of Peru. The vicuna are a distant cousin of the alpaca and have the finest fibers in the species. The chaccu is an elaborate ancient ceremony in which they are corralled for shearing and then released back into the wild once every two years.
