It was built in the 15th century by Francesco Sforza, Duke of Milan, it houses several of the city`s museums and art collections, among them Michelangelo’s last sculpture, Pietà Rondanini, and Leonardo Da Vinci’s Codex Trivulzianus. Torrione del Carmine as seen from The Cortile delle Armi, a large court from which several internal features of the castle can be seen.
