The Reichsbahnbruecke two-level drawbridge was built in Königsberg in 1926. A railroad passed along its upper tier; cars could go along the lower tier. With the help of cunning mechanics, sections of the bridge could turn sideways in just two minutes, opening the way for ships. After the war, the bridge was modernized. Now the middle part of the bridge rises for the passage of large vessels.
