HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein interacts with a CD4 receptor and a chemokine receptor
A domain gp120, violet of the HIV-1 envelope protein interacts with the CD4 receptor dark blue and a chemokine receptor CCR5, light blue of an immune cell to fuse the viral and target-cell membranes, leading to the entry of HIV-1 into the cell.
