Khooni Darwaza near Firoz Shah Kotla

Constructed by Sher Shah Suri, the gate has gained unparalleled notoriety over the centuries, as detailed in my previous post. The most recent event happened on a cold day of December 2002 when a female student of the nearby Maulana Azad Medical College was dragged into the monument by three men & raped in broad daylight. This event created such an uproar that it was also discussed in the Parliament & the monument was closed for public from then onwards.
