Nilgiri Tahr Nilgiritragus hylocrius at the Eravikulam National park, Munnar

Nilgiritragus hylocrius, the scientific name for the Nilgiri Tahr, found mostly in the western ghats of India. It is also a state animal of Tamil Nadu. The Eravikulam national park is in Kerala, where we also find the elusive flower Neelakurinji.
