Roman Mosaic Floor, Domus Romana, Mdina, Malta
A detailed mosaic floor belonging to a Roman villa was excavated near the cities of Mdina and Rabat in Malta. Known as Domus Romana or Roman House, the aristocratic home dates back to the first century BC. The ruins were discovered in 1881 and an archaeological excavation uncovered this well-preserved mosaic along with other artifacts.
