The Tavistock canal was built in the 19th century to link Tavistock to Morwellham Quay on the river Tamar. The trees are reflected in the still waters Tavistock is an ancient statuary and market town in West Devon. It is situated on the river Tavy which is where it gets it name from. It is the only Town in Devon to hold world heritage status
