Arch of Titus is an honorific arch [note 1] of the century located in the Cross, south-east of the Roman Forum. It was built around 82 by Emperor Domitian shortly after the death of his older brother, also Emperor Titus, to commemorate his military victories, especially the capture of Jerusalem after the First Roman-Jewish War
