Maranza is surrounded by meadows and fields and is located high above Rio di Pusteria at 1,414 m asl. It can either be reached via a panoramic road, or via funicular with lower terminus in Rio di Pusteria. The well-shaped local mountain of Maranza is the so-called Gitschberg, also simply called ââ¬ÅGitschââ¬Å. In summer, this mountain 2,500 m stands for a fabulous hiking area, from the panoramic platform on its summit you can enjoy a breathtaking mountain view
