Poison Ivy tendrils and suckers on a Tree Trunk. This are not roots. It`s how Poison Ivy holds onto the tree trunk and how the vine climbs up to reach the light. The toxin in Poison Ivy is an oil called urushiol. Itchy red rash from even touching a tree where the vines were removed! Poison Ivy was once known as the guardian of the forest because it kept people away. That`s how the comic character was created.
