The Iron Rhine was a railway line from Antwerp Belgium via the Netherlands to the Ruhr area, Germany. Closed in 1992. It mainly served as a freight line between the port of Antwerp, the MÃÂ¶nchengladbach traffic junction and the Ruhr area.
