Isernia, Molise. The `Fontana Fraterna” is an elegant public fountain, as well as a symbol, of the city of Isernia.

The `Fontana Fraterna` or Fontana della Fraterna, Fontana della Concezione, fountain of the Sette Cannelle or simply Fraterna is an elegant public source, as well as a symbol, of the city of Isernia. Counted by the Treccani Encyclopedia among the most beautiful in Italy, with six jets of water, from the unusual shapes of a loggia, made of blocks of compact limestone, it is one of the most significant and important works of the common pot. In ancient times it stood in Piazza Fraterna, opposite the church of the Conception, but after the Allied bombing of 1943 it is located in Piazza Celestino V formerly Largo Concezione, in the heart of the historic center of the city.
