ÃÅeské BudÃâºjovice is the statutory city and metropolis of the South Bohemian Region. They lie in the ÃÅeské BudÃâºjovice basin at the confluence of the Vltava and Malà ¡e rivers. It is the largest city in the region and its political and commercial capital, the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of ÃÅeské BudÃâºjovice, of the University of South Bohemia, and of the Academy of Sciences. It is in the valley of the Vltava River, at its confluence with the Malà ¡e. ÃÅeské BudÃâºjovice is famous for the Budweiser Budvar Brewery.
