Giraffa camelopardalis rothschildi

It is the tallest mammal, males reach a height of about 5.3 m, females tend to be smaller, the largest measured individual had a height of 5.87 m. It occurs in several subspecies, which differ in color, but also in the shape of the head. The Olomouc Zoo has been breeding Rothschild giraffes since 1976, in 1999 the twins Kabu and Kabuki were born and both were bred.
