Yalo is located at the base of the eastern escarpment of theÃÂ Ethiopian highlands, and bordered on the south byÃÂ Gulina, on the west by theÃÂ Tigray Region, on the north by theÃÂ Administrative Zone 2, and on the east byÃÂ Teru. The major town in Yalo are Gubi Dora andÃÂ Dibina.
