Ross Alley has the distinction of being the oldest alley in San Francisco. It also had the distinction of being known as Filipino Alley, or Latino Alley, for all Filipinos and Latinos who would come here for the brothels. This are is became known as `The Barbary Coast.` Today it is home to many legitimate businesses, including the world famous `Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Co`, as seen here in September 2021.
