The Aegidienkirche in Erfurt with its archway on Wenigemarkt forms the eastern access to the Krämerbrücke. It is one of the former two bridgehead churches. It is the oldest Church in the world used by Methodists and has been owned by the Methodist Church in East Germany KdöR since 1957.
