Pictured is the Main Altar of the Basilica at Santa Maria de Montserrat Benedictine Abbey near Barcefona, Spain. The ivory crucifix is said to be the work of Michelangelo though at one time it was loosely attributed to Lorenzo Ghiberti. Below the hanging crucifix is the main altar decorated with enamels of Montserrat Mainar, depicting various biblical scenes including The Last Supper, The Weddings of Cana, and the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes. The famous Black Madonna is seen high at the back.
