De Balij or Balijbos is a young forest between Zoetermeer, Pijnacker-Nootdorp and Delft that consists of a natural forest, a swamp forest, walking and cycling paths and a play forest. There is also a city farm on the edge of De Balij. Many cycling, equestrian and hiking trails traverse the extensive forest area in the urban environment. An oasis for city dwellers.
