wild Elz waterfall during snow melting season, seen from the bridge
Elz is a rather small river in the Eifel, except when there are season floods. The waterfall of river Elz can become huge during snow melting season in spring. This double waterfall is located in the Eifel near the village Roes, right at Pyrmonter Mühle in the valley below Burg Pyrmont. The waterfall is under the road bridge with medieval roots and a chapel.
