Bertholletia excelsa, popularly known as Brazil nut, Amazon nut, Acre nut, Brazil nut, Amazon nut, Bolivian nut, tocari or tururi, is a large tree, very abundant in northern Brazil and Bolivia, whose fruit contains the chestnut, which is its seed. It is a tree of the botanical family Lecythidaceae, endemic to the Amazon Forest. Excellent source of vitamins such as: selenium, vitamin c, iron, vitamin B6, vitamin E, magnesium, cobalamin, omega9, antioxidant.
