The common Garden spider, Argiope aurantia, also known as the Yellow or Golden spider, because of its markings, is found in fields as well as gardens throughout North America down to Central America, and even Hawaii. Known for eating insects, if caught, they will enjoy small lizards and crustaceans. As seen in the San Francisco Botanical Gardens of Golden Gate Park 23 March 2022.
