The White crowned sparrow, Zonotrichia leucophrys, is quite recognizable with their black and white racing stripes on the head, along with a gray face. Native to North America, they mainly eat seeds and other plant parts, as well as insects and bugs, as we see here at the top of Huntington Falls in Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park 31 March 2022.
