Palace of Justice in Almeida, Portugal
The current Palace of Justice and Civil Registry in the Portuguese town of Almeida started as the Beira General Inspectorate, a military institution that dealt with the management of the War Squares in the region. Its construction began at the end of the 17th century and continued until the early 18th century, based on a project by Colonel Engineer António Velho de Azevedo.
